Being human not enough for right to life.
“Two ethicists working with Australian universities argue in the latest online edition of the Journal of Medical Ethics that if abortion of a fetus is allowable, so to should be the termination of a newborn.
Alberto Giubilini with Monash University in Melbourne and Francesca Minerva at the Centre for Applied Philosophy and Public Ethics at the University of Melbourne say that,
‘Both a fetus and a newborn certainly are human beings and potential persons, but neither is a ‘person’ in the sense of ‘subject of a moral right to life’.’
‘Merely being human is not in itself a reason for ascribing someone a right to life.’
“The two [ethicists] are quick to note that they prefer the term “after-birth abortion“ as opposed to ”infanticide.” Why? Because it “[emphasizes] that the moral status of the individual killed is comparable with that of a fetus (on which ‘abortions’ in the traditional sense are performed) rather than to that of a child.”
“The circumstances, the authors state, where after-birth abortion should be considered acceptable include instances where the newborn would be putting the well-being of the family at risk, even if it had the potential for an “acceptable” life.
“A newborn whose family (or society) that could be socially, economically or psychologically burdened or damaged by the newborn should have the ability to seek out an after-birth abortion.”

"In my opinion, evolution is a fact."
Why do evolutionists say that evolution is a fact? There are two working definitions of the word evolution.
On the one hand, the word means change. Everything changes in our world from seasons and ocean shore lines to the differences observed from one generation of life to the next. Mutation is another word that means change most often as it applies to the DNA molecule. This molecule codes for the appearances and functions of living organisms. When it changes (mutates), the code changes, which may result in change in appearances and/or the functions. Mutation is a fact, and the preservation of such changes in organisms from one generation to another is also a fact. This preservation, as well as the extinction, of cells altered by mutations is referred to as natural selection. And thus, evolutionists state that evolution is as factual as change.
However the second working definition of evolution is more commonly used and is the point of debate between creationists and evolutionists. This refers to the theory that change in the code of life from generation to generation is without limit and is responsible for the descent and origin of all species from previous generations with modification. This assumption of unlimited potential for change in the DNA molecule has never been established. The General Theory of Evolution, commonly abbreviated as evolution and not to be confused with the simple definition of change, extrapolates from the facts that mutations occur and that preservation of changes can occur, but it assumes, without evidence, that this change has unlimited potential. For this reason, among others, the General Theory of Evolution remains a theory and not a fact.
So, when evolutionists say that, “evolution is a fact,” they are: 1) referring to the simple definition of the word, 2) ignorant of the unsubstantiated assumption on which the General Theory of Evolution is based, 3) confused about the distinction between evolution and the General Theory of Evolution, or 4) intentionally misleading.
The General Theory of Evolution is not a fact, and stating it to be so, does not make it so. If evolutionists desire to elevate the status of their theory, they need to stop making excuses for the absence of evidence for unlimited change potential across generations, and produce the evidence.

“An attorney says NASA had a “knee-jerk reaction” when it fired a Christian employee after he mentioned intelligent design.”
“David Coppedge, a 14-year employee for the Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s mission to Saturn, was fired last year for handing out DVDs to coworkers that mentioned intelligent design (see earlier story). He was issued a written warning for “pushing his religion” on coworkers, charged with harassment, and finally demoted. When JPL veteran filed suit, the company fired him, claiming his termination was necessary to reduce the workforce due to budget problems.”
“Intelligent design has nothing to do with the doctrine of creationism, and people often confuse it with creationism because the central argument of intelligent design is that there is scientific evidence to show that the universe, and life within it, did not evolve randomly,” he explains.”

Home Depot sponsors kids' workshop at homosexual activist events
Last weekend, Home Depot set up a booth at the Atlanta Gay Pride festival and entered a float in the parade. (video here)
Alongside Home Depot’s float were marchers and other floats celebrating sadomasochism and bondage. One float depicted gay sex slaves being held in cages like animals.

“We presented to the shareholders and to the chairman and the board of directors over 470,000 signature petitions asking them to remain neutral in the culture war, specifically when it addresses gay marriage and homosexual activist groups,” Randy Sharp, AFA’s director of special projects told OneNewsNow.
“The worst offense is that Home Depot has set up kids’ workshops at these gay pride festivals,” explains AFA’s director of special projects. “These are events that have loud, boisterous homosexual activists making their voices heard — and Home Depot is putting money behind setting up kids’ booths at these kinds of events.” [http://www.onenewsnow.com/Business/Default.aspx?id=1059872]
Over one-half million people have signed the pledge to boycott Home Depot until it agrees to remain neutral in the culture war.

No more churches in Afghanistan
“There is not a single, public Christian church left in Afghanistan, according to the U.S. State Department.
“The last public Christian church in Afghanistan was razed in March 2010, according to the State Department’s latest International Religious Freedom Report…“There is no longer a public Christian church; the courts have not upheld the church’s claim to its 99-year lease, and the landowner destroyed the building in March [2010],… also … there are no Christian schools in the country.
“[Private] chapels and churches for the international community of various faiths are located on several military bases, PRTs [Provincial Reconstruction Teams], and at the Italian embassy.
“Freedom of religion has declined in Afghanistan, according to the State Department.
“The government’s level of respect for religious freedom in law and in practice declined during the reporting period, particularly for Christian groups and individuals,” reads the State Department report.
Most Christians in the country refuse Read the rest of this entry »

Repent from or die for Christ
Iranian Court insists that pastor must recant his faith in Jesus Christ to which Youcef Nadarkhani stated, “Repent means to return. What should I return to? To the blasphemy that I had before my faith in Christ?” The judges replied, “To the religion of your ancestors, Islam.” To which he replied, “I cannot.”
The judges stated that even though the judgment they have made is against the current Iranian and international laws, they have to uphold the previous decision of the 27th Branch of the Supreme Court in Qom.
Iran’s supreme court had previously ruled that the trial court must determine if Youcef had been a Muslim before converting to Christianity.
Pastor Youcef will be brought to the court for two additional “hearings” on September 27th and 28th for the sole purpose of being called upon to recant his Christian faith.
ACLJ sources report that Youcef’s attorneys will appeal the case, but there is no guarantee that the provincial court will not act on its own interpretation of Sharia law and execute pastor Youcef as early as Wednesday.
Technically, there is no right of appeal, and under Iran’s interpretation of Hadith and Sharia law, Pastor Youcef is to be given three chances to recant. He has already been asked to recant twice, and will be asked to do so again Tuesday. If he does not recant his Christian faith, he could be executed at any time.

Melting of Greenland's ice sheet greatly exaggerated.
“We believe that the figure of a 15 percent decrease in permanent ice cover since the publication of the previous atlas 12 years (ago) is both incorrect and misleading,” said Poul Christoffersen, glaciologist at the Scott Polar Research Institute (SPRI) at the University of Cambridge.
“The Times Atlas, published by HarperCollins, showed that Greenland lost 15 percent of its ice cover over the past 12 years, based on information from the National Snow and Ice Data Center in Colorado in the United States.
“The Greenland ice sheet is the second biggest in the world and significant shrinking could lead to a global rise in sea levels.
“However, a number of scientists disputed the claim.
“We concluded that a sizable portion of the area mapped as ice-free in the Atlas is clearly still ice-covered.”
“These new maps are ridiculously off base, way exaggerated Read the rest of this entry »

Are you permitted to study the Bible with friends in your home?
“Chuck and Stephanie Fromm already have been fined $300 for holding Bible studies for their friends at their home, they face the potential for additional fines of $500 for each study held, and an appeal to the city was denied.
“the city is demanding that the home Bible study is banned because it is a “church,” unless it purchases a ‘Conditional Use Permit” from the city.
“Imposing a heavy-handed permit requirement on a home Bible study is outrageous,” said Brad Dacus, president of Pacific Justice Institute, which is working on the case on behalf of the Fromms.
“An informal gathering in a home cannot be treated with suspicion by the government, or worse than that, any gathering of friends, just because it is religious. We cannot allow this to happen in America, and we will fight as long and as hard as it takes to restore this group’s religious freedom.”
“city records showed someone complained, and a code enforcement officer first gave them a verbal warning and then issued citations in May and June. “Can you imagine anybody in any neighborhood, that one person can call and make it a living hell for someone else? That’s wrong … and it’s just sad.”
“The case is similar to a previous dispute in San Diego County. There, officials apologized after a code-enforcement officer tried to shut down a Bible study.

Warming within range of stability not a trend
“Dr. Ivar Giaever, a former professor with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the 1973 winner of the Nobel Prize in physics, abruptly announced his resignation Tuesday, Sept. 13, from the premier physics society in disgust over its officially stated policy that “global warming is occurring.”
“Giaever was cooled to the statement on warming theory by a line claiming that “the evidence is incontrovertible.”
“In the APS it is ok to discuss whether the mass of the proton changes over time and how a multi-universe behaves, but the evidence of global warming is incontrovertible?” he wrote in an email to Kate Kirby, executive officer of the physics society.”
“The claim … is that the temperature has changed from ~288.0 to ~288.8 degree Kelvin in about 150 years, which (if true) means to me is that the temperature has been amazingly stable, and both human health and happiness have definitely improved in this ‘warming’ period,” his email message said.”
“He has since become a vocal dissenter from the alleged “consensus” regarding man-made climate fears, Climate Depot reported, noting that he was one of more than 100 co-signers of a 2009 letter to President Obama critical of his position on climate change.”

Those sly devils at Planned Parenthood tried to hoodwink Mississippi voters but were caught and exposed in the act thanks to Jacob Dawson of AFA.
“… Planned Parenthood flew a man from Washington to Mississippi, put him in a clerical collar, and asked him to appeal to the voters with deep
Southern Baptist roots.”
“Planned Parenthood Seattle Chaplain Vincent Lachina was exposed during a Mississippi Secretary of State’s Personhood Amendment Hearing.”
“Lachina claimed to be a Southern Baptist minister….”
“boldly preached an ideology of choice from the pulpit, calling for a “no” vote on prolife Amendment 26….”
